Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Unalike (“Unalike”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with unalike.app and any related services. Our registered address is [TO CONFIRM: registered business address]. If you have questions about anything here, email privacy@unalike.app.

Information you give us. Today the site collects one thing: the email address you submit to join the waitlist. We do not ask for a name, a company or a phone number, and there is nothing else to fill in.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs for requests to the site, including IP address, user agent, referring page and timestamp. These are used to operate and secure the service and are retained for a short period by that provider.

Information from connected accounts. When the product itself launches, connecting a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram account will store the access and refresh tokens needed to publish on your behalf. Those tokens are encrypted at rest, are never written to logs, and are deleted when you disconnect the account. Nothing on this site collects them yet.

We use personal information only to:

• tell you when the beta opens and send product updates you asked for;
• operate, secure, debug and improve the service;
• meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for waitlist and marketing email (withdrawable at any time), on our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, on performance of a contract where you become a customer, and on legal obligation where the law requires us to keep records.

We use a small number of processors that handle data on our behalf under contract: hosting and edge delivery (Vercel), the database that stores the waitlist (Neon), and, once configured, an email provider for sending the announcements you signed up for. These providers may process data outside your country; where that happens we rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.

Waitlist addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and are removed within 30 days of that request. Server logs are kept for a short operational period by our hosting provider. Account data and platform tokens, once the product exists, are deleted within 30 days of account closure or disconnection, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. To exercise any right, email privacy@unalike.app — we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EEA you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

To have everything associated with your address erased, email privacy@unalike.app with the subject line “Delete my data”. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days. Once the product supports connected accounts, deletion will also revoke and erase any stored platform tokens.

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics scripts. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy before doing so and, where required, ask for consent first.

We use encryption in transit, encryption at rest for credentials and tokens, least privilege access to production systems, and hard spending and rate limits on the third-party APIs the product uses. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that bar), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the product develops. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced by email to the address you gave us.
